Black Victorian Fishtail Back Trousers (TR201)

These trousers are a more refined version of our standard work trousers as they feature a narrower leg. Made from a heavy wool barathea they are ideal for Victorian/ Edwardian dress wear.

They have an authentic high fishtail back and button fly front. Best worn with our button braces as they should sit higher on the body than the modern position which is lower, towards the hips.

The fit is generous so if in doubt buy a size smaller. As a guide, we recommend taking a measurement around your navel (high waist). Take up to 4in off this measurement and buy accordingly. With the smaller sizes (28in-34in) we advise reducing by only 2in. 

There is no strap but the back is darted for a smoother finish. The facings are lined in black cotton silesia with inside braces buttons.
